FAQ
General Eligibility & Audience
Who can attend your courses?
Our courses are designed primarily for licensed Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants. Depending on the specific course, other licensed healthcare professionals such as Medical Doctors, Doctors of Osteopathy, Physician Assistants, Chiropractors, and eligible Physical Therapy students may also attend. Please review individual course descriptions for eligibility details.
Are your courses appropriate for both new and experienced clinicians?
Yes. Our courses are designed to accommodate clinicians at different stages of their careers. Experienced therapists benefit from advanced techniques and clinical reasoning, while newer clinicians gain confidence through extensive hands-on practice and close instructor guidance made possible by small class sizes.
Can physical therapy students attend your courses?
Select courses are open to third-year Physical Therapy students, depending on course content and availability. Student participation is noted in each course description, and discounted student pricing may be available.
Course Format & Learning Experience
How are your courses structured?
Most courses are lab-intensive, with the majority of time dedicated to hands-on skill development. Lectures are concise and focused on clinical relevance, safety, and evidence-based application. This structure allows participants to practice techniques repeatedly with direct instructor feedback.
What makes your courses different from other continuing education providers?
Manual Therapy Consultants maintains smaller student-to-instructor ratios than most providers, allowing for individualized instruction and repeated hands-on practice. Our instructors are highly experienced clinicians, and our courses emphasize practical skills that can be applied immediately in the clinic.
How large are your class sizes?
Class sizes are intentionally kept small to ensure a high-quality learning experience. We typically maintain a low student-to-instructor ratio, allowing instructors to provide personalized feedback and hands-on guidance throughout the course.
CEUs, Certification & Credentials
Do your courses count toward continuing education (CEU) requirements?
Yes. All scheduled courses are approved by or submitted for approval for continuing education contact hours in the state where the course is hosted. Approval may also be sought in neighboring states when applicable. Specific CEU details are provided with each course.
How does the Certification Series work?
The Certification Series is a structured program that combines comprehensive HVLA mobilization training with advanced neurodynamic examination and treatment skills. Participants must complete all required courses before registering for the certification examination.
What does the CMNT certification represent?
The Certified Manual and Neurodynamic Therapist (CMNT) distinction reflects advanced competency in both manual therapy and neurodynamics. Certification is earned through successful completion of coursework and formal written and practical examinations, demonstrating a high level of clinical proficiency.
